Be yourself

There are absolute truth and what people do culturally. We should not mixed up these two ideas but we do.
There are many cultures in this world and each culture think that they have the corner stone on living and how to live. This is bad thinking. The family structure in the United States may be different than in Mexico but it doesn't make either country worst or better.

I believe when a person gets married, that person needs to leave and cleave to the mate and leave their parents and unit with the mate as one. The most important person in a married person life should be their spouse.  Genesis 2:23-24 says, "The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh."

All that said, if a person lives in a culture that they live with parents until marriage, that is okay. This is not a sin but in the United States it is. Many people think that United States a weird because of this and the United States thinks other countries are strange. So both ideas are correct but people need to make sure to leave and cleave in marriage.

We must judge things according to the culture but according to the Bible. I believe the Bible is the Word of God.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Again, we must be lead by Jesus and the Bible. If we have a question and it is a cultural idea. If  it is sin then don't do it but if it is not then a person can go against the culture. 

I try to be open minded but stay true to my Lord and Savior Jesus.
